This class will take place in the beautiful downtown area of Fairhope, AL. Known as the "French Quarter", this part of town is charming and full of adventure. Class will be held at The Balcony 300 Fairhope Ave, Suite E, Fairhope AL 36532. Parking is on a first come basis, and is free of charge.

  • Class begins at 1:00pm, ends at 4:00pm on Tuesday June 22nd, 2021.

Jessica has Bachelors degree in Apparel Design from the University of Wisconsin-Madison as well as an Associates Degree in Fashion Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. Her specialty is designing Ladies and Women’s Sportswear, and Lingerie. Jessica is married with 4 grown sons. She and her family have recently relocated to southern Alabama, and are enjoying the Gulf Coast. Jessica enjoys being outside, traveling, gardening, photography, and reading. Before You Go....

Important Information

  • Do I have to pay for parking?

    Street parking is available but limited, consider arriving early enough to find a convient parking space. The Balcony has an elevator so transporting your sewing machine and supplies up stairs is not required.

  • Are there stairs in The Balcony Building?

    The class room is on the second floor of the building, there is an elevator readily available so bringing your equipment upstairs should not be a problem.

  • What if there are not enough people registered?

    We will verify class enrollment numbers (we must have at least 5 registrations to hold the class) and refund 100% of your money if the class is cancelled. Share this event with your friends to be sure we have adequate enrollment to hold the event! If the class is cancelled we will try and reschedule at another time.

  • What sewing level is this class?

    Intermediate Level: This project is designed for INTERMEDIATE LEVEL SEWING. Students must be able to sew a straight stitch, zig-zag, hem, use elastic, finish seams, make buttonholes and press. Classes for beginners or more advanced students are available, please email me at [email protected].

What do I need to bring to class?

  • Are sewing machines provided?

    No, you must bring your own sewing machine to class.

  • What other supplies do I need in class?

    Straight Pins, pinking shears and scissors, measuring tape, chalk or fabric marking pen, extension cord.

  • What is provided in class?

    Tables and chairs for sewing Iron and ironing board for pressing All supplies and notions needed to sew the linen pants Care instructions for washing your linen pants Step by Step sewing instruction

  • What if I don't finish my pants in class?

    Written sewing instructions are provided so you can finish your project at home if it's not finished during class time. The supply kit is yours to take home.

  • What Sizes are Available for the Joleene Linen Pant?

    This style has a full size range S-5XXL. The pants are a comfortable loose fit, including 4" of ease. You can view the complete size chart here. If you need to make small size alterations to the pattern during class, instruction will be provided but time may be limited so we can all finish the project within the class time.
